WHAT I DO
I create and recreate art, employing the seven elements of design.
I work with many mediums and I have been known to intertwine them for added interest.
I create with paint, pencil, florals, everlasting botanicals, mosaics, wire and other numerous textiles.
I tailor each design to reflect your personal taste and style as well as elevate your space.
Not only do I love to create bespoke designs, I also enjoy sharing insights and expertise to help others understand and integrate the elements of design into their own creations and live a beautiful life.
WHO I AM
My name is Kristy M. Gruenwald.
I am a freelance artist and floral designer.
Originally born and raised in Port Washington, Wisconsin, I come from a family filled with creativity. We each have our own unique strengths. I could draw before I could walk, so to speak, so I continued my studies in art.
I graduated from Cardinal Stritch University, once located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts.
While earning my degree, I worked in a floral shop as a designer. I continued working in the floral industry as a designer, manager and director over the duration of 30+ years. I found many parallels between art and floral design. The elements of design apply to both realms. Since I enjoy working with different mediums, working with flowers became another channel to express my creativity.
